Mayor Harding called for public comment.
Mason Skinner from Olympia is Director of Scheduling for Thurston County
Youth Football League. He expressed his gratitude to the Council for the use of
Longmire Park including the upgrade to the Park with the addition of the
restrooms. The League consists of 1800 participants including the Yelm
Tornados who utilize the Park along with others from other counties. He has
heard great feedback from kids and parents about what a wonderful facility it is.

10. Mayor and Council Initiatives
Councilmember Baker attended the Intercity Transit Board meeting where they
discussed strict tobacco restrictions for all IT properties, and solar lighting trials
at many bus shelter locations, possibly including one in Yelm. Puget Sound
Energy's Green businesses program has been highlighted by the EPA as one of
the top programs of the year. Intercity Transit Citizen Advisory Committee
reviewed applications for 2 vacancies. He reported that there is time to apply if
there is any interest by citizens in Yelm.
Councilmember McGowan chairs the HOME Consortium. At their meeting, they
continue to review the proposed 10-year plan including the rental assistance
program and media outreach.

Councilmember Wood attended the CapCom meeting as they transition into an
independent entity.
Mayor Harding attended the Mayor's Forum discussed potential for Thurston
County Historical Committees to join in their efforts. Also discussed the regional
transportation structure and city's ideas to maximize their abilities to take
advantage of funding opportunities.
11. EXECUTIVE SESSION -Mayor Harding announced that Council would be
going into Executive Session at 7:12 p.m. to discuss potential litigation (RCW
42.30.110 i.) with Attorney, Steve DiJulio.
Council returned to the Council Chambers and the Executive Session was
closed at 7:52 pm.
