CEDAR RIVER WATERSHED FACILITY
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 29, 2009
Participants boarded the bus at 8:30 am from Yelm City Hall for the trip to the King County
Cedar River Watershed in North Bend.
Present: Mayor Harding, Councilmembers; Don Miller, Joe Baker, Russ Hendrickson and
John Thompson. Staff; Shelly Badger, Grant Beck and Janine Schnepf.
Took a tour from the bus in route of Snoqualmie Ridge, a Master Planned Community
including the residential and business district.
Arrived at the Cedar River Watershed and toured the facility with the director including,
the outside viewing areas, lab education area, archive and historic display area. Learned
about the materials that went into the construction of the complex including recycled
materials found on the closed watershed area, maintenance of the living roof construction,
artistic displays and public participation features.
Met in the auditorium and discussed topics of interest to the elected officials.
