Sorry about the typo. Do the hydraulic calculations work without the system looped? We have a fire main that runs parallel to the east property line that serves Rite Aide. The
question is do we want to run our main from there, the street or connect to both. Thanks Les

Gary,
I don’t know if the 10” is looped or not, I did not see a site plan, Dee just provided the length of pipe for the sprinkler feed.
FTC, did you mean FDC? Yes they will need a fire department connection.
The sprinkler calculation was achieved by attaching the 10” sprinkler feed to the 8”.
Since I have not seen the site plan, not sure of the exact layout.
Do you need me to review the site plan? Let me know.

Les,
We have started site plan review on the Les Schwab. A couple of questions.
Is the 10 inch line looped?
I did not see a FTC on their plan. Do they need one?
The fire flow is calculated by attaching the 10 inch to the existing 8 inch on Yelm Avenue?
Thanks
Gary

Gary,
I have reviewed the updated calculation with an increase to 10” on the fire line. This will provide the proper margin on the pressure issue.
My recommendation is to approve the modification.
If you have any questions, please call.

Les:
We revised our calculations to increase the underground from 8” to 10”. This will result is a 6.9-psig cushion. We should be OK?
We will proceed with the underground up grade unless you object.
Can you give us confirmation we are good to go?
Thanks for your help.
Look me up if you get to Portland.
