At the time the City reviewed and approved the business license for your business, you described the nature of the business as “products to help grow organic foods”. The sign permit that you submitted to the City, however, indicatesthat your business specializes in product(s)that would be considered controlled substances and drug paraphernalia under RCW 69.50 et. seq., the sale of which would be a violation of that chapter. In light of this additional information, the City is requesting a full and complete description of your business which shall include what inventory will be maintained upon the premisesand how it will be marketed. Upon receipt of this information, a decision will be made as to whether your business license will be revoked. If you have any questions regarding these requirements, please contact the Community Development Department at 458-3835. At the time the City reviewed and approved the business license for your business, you described the nature of the business as “products to help grow organic foods”, but a subsequent sign permit application indicatedthat your business specializes in product(s)that would be considered controlled substances and drug paraphernalia under RCW 69.50 et. seq., the sale of which would be a violation of that chapter. As requested, you provided additional informationabout the inventory maintained upon the premises and how it will be marketed. After review of this documentation, it appears that your intention is not to violate Chapter 69.50 RCW and the City will not revoke your business license at this time. The sign permit, however, will be denied and any similar sign may not be placed on the exterior of the building.
