ACU Yelm Preconstruction
Good afternoon Kevin
Sound like we have been given authorization to coordinate a
preconstruction meeting for the ACU Yelm Project at 415 Yelm Ave E.
I would like to schedule the meeting for Friday this week if possible
since I will be on vacation the following week. Please let me know if
you wish to have the meeting onsite or at Public Works.
I have final approval from Olympia Region Clean Air Agency for
demolition of the existing buildings(See attachment) and will upon
approval apply for over the counter demolition permit.
Please contact me at the main office or on my cell phone to discuss in
detail.

Doug & Tom:
Tim & I went to the review meeting today. There were 6 members of the
city staff plus the two of us. The review meeting lasted about 5 minutes
with 3 minimal comments. 3 to be exact.
1. A proposed curbs needs to be tapered as it meets the sidewalk
2. The screening for the outdoor HVAC units need to be detailed.
3. The Landscape Architect needs to clarify a specific control
valve to meet conditions of the land use approval.
They agreed that these comments could be “redlined” on the drawings and
the permit could be issued “approved as noted.” Tami Merriman will issue
an official document later this week. We will see what paperwork we will
have to provide before the permits can actually be pulled. They did say
that the contractor could schedule the pre-con meeting.
Please contact Kevin Ray (contact information attached) to set that
meeting. Tim Holderman & I would like to be at that meeting. In addition
you may want to see if the demolition permit can be pulled.

regarding this matter.
