Eagle Plaza Slope
Upon final inspection of the roadway along Eagle Plaza, it was noted
that the fill slope south of the property is steeper than allowed. Refer
to WSDOT Design Manual M 22-01, Chapter 1600, attached.
Upon inspection of the slope, the slope is actually 2H (Horizontal): 1V
(Vertical). The WSDOT Manual states a definition of nonrecoverable fill
slope is steeper than 4H:1V, but not steeper than 3H:1V are considered
nonrecoverable. At a minimum, an extruded curb to protect vehicles and
pedestrians would be needed.
