ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE approving and adopting the
Town of Yelm Budget and employee
Salary Schedule for the calendar year
1986.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF YELM, THURSTON
COUNTY, WASHINGTON, as follows:
Section 1. The monies in the several funds of the Town
Treasury identified in Appendix I annexed hereto and by this
reference thereto incorporated herein as though fully set
forth herein, or so much thereof as shall be found neces-
sary, are hereby budgeted and appropriated for the calendar
year 1986 for the purposes for which said funds have been
established and maintained.
Section 2. The 1986 monthly salaries and 1986 hourly
salary rates for officers and employees of the Town of Yelm
shall be, and the same are, hereby fixed and established as
set forth in the "1986 Salary Schedule" annexed hereto as
Appendix II, which is by this reference thereto incorporated
herein as though fully set forth herein.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect January 1,
1986.

Sick Leave, all full time employees:
Sick leave will be accumulated at the rate of one (1) day
per month. Upon termination of employment for reasons other
than dismissal for misfeasance or malfeasance, each employee
will be paid for twenty -five percent (25 %) of the total
number of days accumulated sick leave at the rate of pay
applicable for such employee at the time of termination;
provided. However, payment for accumulated sick leave shall
not exceed an amount equal to two months full salary or
equivalent wage.
Paid vacation, all full time employees:
After one (1) year of employment, seven (7) work days.
After two (2) years of employment, nine (9) work days.
After three (3) years of employment, eleven (11) work days.
After five (5) years of employment, eleven (11) work days
plus one (1) work day for each year of service beyond
four years.
Holidays, all full time employees:
The following are paid holidays: The first day of January,
commonly called New Years Day; the third Monday in January
honoring Martin Luther King Day; the third Monday of February,
being celebrated as President's Day; the last Monday of
May, commonly known as Memorial Day; the fourth day of July,
being the anniversary of the Declaration of Independence;
the first Monday in September to be known as Labor Day; the
eleventh day of November, to be known as Veterans' Day;
the fourth Thursday in November, to be known as Thanks-
giving Day; the day immediately following Thanksgiving Day;
the twenty -fifth of December, commonly called Christmas Day;
and one "Floating Day ". Police officers shall be entitled
to one compensatory day off for each holiday worked.
Medical and Dental:
Marshal and Deputy Marshals (Medical and Dental)
Clerk /Treasurer (Medical and Dental)
Assistant Clerk /Treasurer (Medical and Dental)
Deputy Court Clerk (Medical and Dental)
Dispatcher (Medical and Dental)
Utilities Superintendent Comp Time:
The Utilities Superintendent shall be entitled to one
compensatory day off each month for services as Animal
Control Officer.
