969 Amend 9.26 Drug ParaphernaliaCITY OF YELM
ORDINANCE NO. 969
AN ORDINANCE of the City of Yelm, Washington, relating to the
amendment of Chapter 9.26 of the Yelm Municipal Code relating to
the possession of drug paraphernalia.
WHEREAS, November 6, 2012, Washington voters approved Initiative
502 to legalize and regulate the possession of marijuana; and
WHEREAS, Chapter 9.26 of the Yelm Municipal Code currently prohibits
the possession of drug paraphernalia which is currently allowed under the
law; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has previously adopted by reference all of
Washington Uniform Controlled Substance Act codified in RCW 69.50,
which prohibits the possession of drug paraphernalia; and
WHEREAS, the Yelm City Council wishes to repeal all of Chapter 9.26 of
the Yelm Municipal Code relating to the possession of drug paraphernalia;
NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YELM DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That Chapter 9.26 DRUG PARAPHERNALIA — is hereby repealed in its
entirety.
