14. Second Request:The previous Comment No. 14 was not responded to. It may not be part of the"Controls
System"but it was included in that tab.
"The report and design drawings require a "100-cfm Exhaust Fan Ducted to Exterior with Remote
Timer."The submittal does not provide enough information to determine if the submitted fan can
perform the established requirements. Submit size, type, location, and lengths of ducting for fan and the
fan performance curve.Provide pressure loss calculations to show conformance to the established
requirements."
15. Second Request:The previous Comment No. 15 was not responded to. It may not be part of the"Controls
System"but it was included in that tab.
a. "Submit information on 1,500 W heater to be provided as required in the report and on the design
drawings."
b. See Comment No.37.
16. No exceptions taken.
17. Provide Arc Flash warning marking as required by NEC 110.16.
18. Second Request:Developer shall provide a written control strategy for PLC programming.Include any
controls such as security,generator stepping,etc.
19. Second Request:The Developer shall supply inputs to PLC for ATS:Utility source available,Generator
Source Available,Operating on Utility Source,Operating on Generator Source,ATS not in Auto, and ATS
Fail to Transfer.
20. Second Request:The developer shall provide generator: running, warning, failure, not in auto, low fuel
level, and tank leak detection inputs to the PLC for remote monitoring by the City. (Note to City: This was
first discussed in a letter from Mr.Ryan Johnstone,Parametrix.)

No statement was found from Developer confirming that printed and bound O&M manuals would be
provided. City will indicate quantity required.
Electrical Submittal:NO SUBMITTAL PROVIDED.
Provide submittals for the following:
29. Second Request: Electrical Building Plan confirming that the building is large enough for all of the electrical
equipment being provided. Show actual sizes of Controls and VFD panels, panel board, and transformers.
Include NEC and Arc Flash clearances.
30. Commodity Items: Conduit,wire,boxes,receptacles,grounding,etc.
a. Commodity items will be reviewed upon completion of submittal of Items 31, 32, 34,36,37,40,41,42,
and 43.
b. Aluminum conductors will not be allowed. (Revise and resubmit proposed conductors.)
31. Second Request: 208 V power distribution plan/one-line for Building Power supply feed.Include submittals
for all equipment, meter base, disconnect, switchboard, etc.Note that the VFD panel alone has 225 A
breaker.
32. Second Request: VFD Harmonic Mitigation calculations and equipment being provided.
In lieu of Harmonic Mitigation calculations and necessary migration equipment, provide certification
from the electrical utility serving the pump station that the equipment being installed meets or exceeds the
utility's harmonic parameters. If this cannot be obtained or the equipment provided does not meet the
minimum requirements, then the Developer shall provide the calculations and equipment necessary to
meet the utility's requirements.
33. Second Request:PSE Application for service based on actual station design.
34. Second Request:Panel Board with circuit loading and load calculations include all loads lighting, heating,
generator,controls,and power.
35. Uidlity tmas . (Requirement deleted.)
36. Second Request: Ventilation system heat load calculation and cooling system sizing for heat from VFD.
37. Second Request:Building heater or unit heater.
Submittal information did not indicate wattage
38. Second Request:Freeze protection equipment if supplied.
a. Optionally,Developer should provide calculations indicating that the heater is of adequate wattage to
protect the pump station during winter weather temperatures at 20 degrees F.
39. Interior and exterior light lighting fixtures.
a. Provide integral photo cell for wall light(TWH).

40. Second Request: Building and Site Lighting Plan showing fixtures planned and light intrusion.
41. Second Request:Building security provisions such as intrusion switches, alarms, etc.
42. Second Request:Telemetry Antenna Aiming and Mounting Plan.(Acknowledged that Taurus Control
Power and Control has responded for a"Typical Installation";however, this does not state what will be
installed.
43. Second Request:Developer to provide site plan showing proposed generator footprint.
a. Show actual generator size being provided.
b. Note that the generator being supplied is 11 feet long, and the generator area shown on the Developer
Design Drawing C2.0(KPFF drawings)is only 14 feet long. The generator is too long to provide a
minimum of 3 feet of clearance all around with the gate closed.A minimum fenced area depth of 17 feet
will be required.Note that the angled back corner of the fence line may require additional fenced depth
to the generator area.
Thank you for the opportunity to review this project for you.If we can be of fiuther assistance, please let us know.
Very truly yours,
