Dear Ms.Merriman,
By this letter and on behalf of Richard Rochester, the owner of Thurston County TaY Parcel
Number 64400700100, we hereby formally request a deferral from the stated requirement to
improve the frontages of NE 2°d Street and NE Jefferson Avenue in conjunction with the
proposed short plat of the subject property.
As you are probably aware, there are already two homes on the subject property although one
was recently burnt in a fire. As a result, this application for short subdivision represents what
is essentially a "defacto" division of the subject property. Considering the current residential
build out of the site and contemplating any future residential improvements to the site it is
reasonable to assert that there is a zero net gain in impact to the adjoining city streets. It is by
this justification that we request the deferral.
Additionally, you will find attached to this letter an informational site map that speaks to the
setbacks proposed for this short subdivision. Since the zone in which the property is located
does not specifically speak to building setbacks we are proposing limits that fit with the
existing conditions. Also enclosed are mailing labels that are compatible with the Avery 5160
standard.
