1-Existing 2" stub-out for sewer is located at the N.W. side of property, not by the project entrance as shown on plans.
2-Also, this line is a service line not a mainline which the plans would suggest.This means the service line would be
sched. 40 pipe with slip glue fittings per. Sewer Dept. Specs. unless otherwise authorized by the Director.This also
eliminates the need for thrust blocking and clean-outs at bends in pipe.
3-Service line needs to have a 2' depth of bury from top of pipe to finished grade.The depth is because it is in a traffic
area.
4- Pump Control Panels cannot be located on living spaces. Galvanized unistrut remote posts are required in these cases.
5-Side sewer clean-outs cannot be located at elbow fittings. 2-way sweeping sanitary Tee's need to be installed at a 1'
minimum from these fittings.
6-Clean-outs located more than 2%z 'from bldg. foundations in non-traffic areas such as park areas or grass areas need
to be in specified carson boxes or approved equal set at finished grade.
7- Need submittals for all STEP system appurtenances to be used on this project.
8-Also need engineered submittals for both holding tanks and pump tank for this particular job, including
manufacturers recommended tie-downs.
9- Need to show calculations supporting tank sizing.
10-The proposed position of pump tank requires possibly vacating 3 vehicles from parking stalls, including 1 Handi-Cap
stall for pumping and maintenance of tank. This tank could be positioned to take up 1 stall.
12-Any existing septic systems must be decommissioned per Thurston Co. regulations.
13-Any pump tank or holding tank located in childrens play area could,for any number of reasons end up in a high level
situation and septage may end up on the ground possibly contaminating the play area.
