Permit#20140159 Notes: 6/15/14 I was called for an under floor inspection. The inspection was approved. Framing was rough but adequate.The contractor ask if he could insulate the floor before covering. I agreed as long as no electrical needed to be placed in the crawlspace.The contractor said he would have it covered and protected before any bad weather. 6/25/14 I was called for the framing/floor insulation inspection.The walls were framed and sheathed. The walls were frame to tali which changed the roof framing. The roof pitch was to flat for asphalt shingles to be used. The roof framing did not blend into the existing. The owner was very unhappy that the contractor had not followed the Building plans. I told the owner I would return on Monday to do a more complete inspection and discuss how correction might be done. 6/27/14 I returned to re-inspect the addition. The contractor had not built the addition per approved plans.The roof framing was almost flat, had soft spots and did not blend into the existing roof. There were several areas that needed to be corrected. I ask the owner to provide me with a new roof plan and type of roofing to be installed. i advised the home owner to protect his house from water damage as it had rain the night before and was still unprotected. (See Corrections Notice for additional corrections) 7/7/14 I was asked to come to the house and talk with the owner about what to do about the addition. He had fired the original contractor. After discussing the numerous problems, he decided the only way to fix it right was to rebuild it per plan.
