Dear Tami Merriman, Yelm Community Development Department:
This letter is to notify the City of Yelm about significant concerns the LeMar Acres
property owners, Leo and Marion Lefebvre, have concerning the development of Sojak
Car Lot on 10609 Morris Road SE. This said property borders the LeMar Acres property.
On this said property, there are mature trees located in close proximity to the property
line. The probability of the roots of these trees growing onto LeMar Acres is significant.
Leo and Marion Lefebvre have grave concerns related to the removal of the trees and
how this could impact the LeMar Acres property (especially if the roots of the trees are
pulled out of the ground).
Leo and Marion Lefebvre are requesting the following information to be provided
immediately and prior to the City of Yelm determining the site plan for this proposed
development project:
1. A detailed description of how the trees on the property line will be removed and
assurance that the removal of the trees will not impact the LeMar Acres property.
2. A specific plan for the type of privacy fence or border that will be built between
the two properties.
3. A copy of the survey of parcel 22710140400 to determine whether this survey
impacts the LeMar Acres property.
Leo and Marion Lefebvre are both hearing impaired and are requesting that the above
concerns and comments be posted and heard during the public comment period that ends
at 5:00 pm on October 17, 2007. Mr. and Mrs. Lefebvre are also requesting, prior to the
City of Yelm's determination of the Sojak Car Lot plan, a written letter from the City
of Yelm responding to the comments and concerns outlined in this letter.
