Box 479 Yelm, WA 98597 The Community Development Department has reviewed your letter of concern for the above referenced project. In response to the requests listed in the letter, we would like to ensure you that the City is in support of the preservation of the trees located along the west property line adjacent to your property due to landscaping requirements and to encourage preservation of the natural vegetation of the land. Your property is being used for residential purposes, therefore, a Type 1 landscape buffer is required for separation of uses. In this case, preserving the existing trees and installing a 6 foot fence will be sufficient to meet the Type I landscape requirement. In response to your survey request, a Site Plan Review application does not require a survey for approval. Determination of property lines will be the responsibility of the property owners.
