An applications for the project listed above was submitted to Thurston County on November 19, 2007. The
application was deemed to be complete for the purpose of beginning the project review on December 19, 2007.
This application and any related documents are available for public review during normal business hours at the
Permit Assistance Center on the second floor of Building #l, Thurston County Courthouse, 2000 Lakeridge

Project Description: Expand parking lot and add 79 parking stalls, and construct 3,723 square foot classroom
/ office addition and 168 square foot storage building. The zoning of the property is Rural Residential One
Dwelling Unit Per Five (5) acres (RR 115) within the Yelm Urban Growth Area (UGA).
Permits Requested by the Applicant. Special Use Permit. Other permits that must be obtained, to the
extent known by the County, include: None known.
Environmental and Other Documents Submitted with the Application: Site plans, landscaping plans,
project description, Geotechnical / Soils Report, Engineered drainage report, and SEPA Checklist.
Additional Information or Project Studies Requested by the County: Landscape details, revised site plan,
frontage improvement details, revised drainage report, Environmental Health / drinking water data, sewer
availability letter, parking calculations, and revised impervious surface details.
No preliminary determination of consistency with County development regulations has been made. At
minimum, this project will be subject to the following plans and regulations: Thurston County
Comprehensive Plan, Zoning Ordinance (TCC 20), Critical Areas Ordinance (TCC 17.15), Stormwater
Drainage Design and Erosion Control Manual (TCC 15.05), Building Code (TCC 14), and State
Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) Ordinance (TCC 17.09).
Thurston County invites your comments early in the review of this proposal. Comments should be directed to
Scott Longanecker at the address listed below.
THE 20 -DAY PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD ENDS AT 5:00 PM ON JANUARY 28, 2008
This notice has been provided to appropriate local and state agencies, tribes, sub -area project list subscribers,
and property owners within 300 feet of the project site. These recipients, and any others who submit a written
request to be placed on the mailing list, will also receive the following items when available: Notice of Public
Hearing. Opportunities for appeal occur within (7) days of the final comment deadline on the SEPA
Determination.
