STANDARD EROSION CONTROL NOTES
1. ON -SITE EROSION MEASURES SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE
CONTRACTOR. ANY PROBLEMS OCCURRING BEFORE FINAL ACCEPTANCE OF THE
STORM SYSTEM BY THE MUNICIPALITY SHALL BE CORRECTED BY THE CONTRACTOR
AT NO ADDITIONAL COST TO THE OWNER.

CRASS SEEDING ALONE WALL BE ACCEPTABLE ONLY DURING THE MONTHS OF

WHENEVER IT IS THE INTEREST OF THE CONTRACTOR, BUT MUST BE AUGMENTED

6. THE PROJECT SURVEYOR 'AWLL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR FIELD LOCATING THE

FACUTIES DURING AND AFTER RAINFALL EVENTS TO ENSURE PROPER OPERATION.
NEEDED REPAIRS SHALL BE MADE WETHIN 24 HOURS OR IMMEDIATELY AFTER AN
INSPECTION, IF POSSIBLE
2. THE ESC LEAD SHALL IMPLEMENT THE ESC PLAN. IMPLEMENTATION SHALL
INCLUDE BUT IS NOT LIMITED T0: INSTALLING, MAINTAINING, INSPECTING AND
REPAIRING ALL TEMPORARY EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL BEST MANAGEMENT
PRACTICES INCLUDED IN THE PLAN. SEDIMENT CONTROL MEASURES SHALL BE
INSPECTED AT LEAST ONCE EVERY FIVE WORKING DAYS, EACH WORKING DAY
DURING A RUNOFF PRODUCING RAIN EVENT, AND WITHIN 24 HOURS AFTER A

3. IN THE EVENT THAT CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES OR OTHER SITE DEVELOPMENT
ACTIVITIES ARE DISCONTINUED FOR FOUR CONSECUTIVE DAYS OR MORE, THE
CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE INSPECTION OF ALL EROSION AND
SEGMENTATION CONTROL FACILITIES IMMEDIATELY AFTER STORM EVENTS AND AT
LEAST ONCE EVERY WEEK, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE TO THE

2. DETECTABLE MARKING TAPE SHALL BE INSTALLED ALONG THE FULL LENGTH OF EACH
PROPOSED UTILITY. DETECTION TAPE SHALL BE 2 -INCH 'WIDTH (MINIMUM). CONTAIN A
0.35 MIL SOLID ALUMINUM CORE, BE A MINIMUM OF 5.0 NIL OVERALL THICKNESS.
AND BE SUITABLE FOR DIRECT BURY. THE TAPE SHALL BE COLOR CODED
ACCORDING TO AWWA AND CONTINUOUSLY IMPRINTED WITH THE TYPE OF UTILITY FOR
EACH UTILITY SHOWN.
GRADING AND DRAINAGE NOTES
1. CONTRACTOR AND /OR SURVEYOR SHALL CALCULATE PIPE SLOPES BASED ON THE
INVERT ELEVATIONS SHOWN ON THE PLANS PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION. THE

THESE GENERAL NOTES ARE TO BE USED AS A SUPPLEMENT TO THE SPECIFICATIONS. ANY

BRACES AND HOLD -DOWNS THAT ARE PART OF

STRUCTURAL OBSERVATIONS SHALL BE PERFORMED BY THE STRUCTURAL ENGINEER OF RECORD OR DESIGNATED REPRESENTATIVE IN ACCORDANCE WITH IBC 1704.5.

• REPORTS SHALL BE PREPARED FOR EACH SITE VISIT AND SHALL BE DISTRIBUTED TO ARCHITECT.
GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL SUBMIT A WRITTEN CONTRACTOR'S STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITY TO THE BUILDING OFFICIAL AND OWNER PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT
OF WORK. THE CONTRACTOR'S STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITY SHALL INCLUDE ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF AWARENESS OF THE SPECIAL INSPECTION REQUIREMENTS
