We have reviewed the comment and provided responses below for your consideration. City Comments: 1. If tank needs more than 3 feet of cover it needs to be H -20. RESPONSE: We have added a note on the site plan requiring the upgrade. (See Special Sewer Notes) 2. Need clean out 2' to 2.5' from bldg. foundation. RESPONSE: We are asking to not be required to modify the existing side sewer. Currently it is privately maintained and will remain privately maintained. It is our understanding that the City maintains the STEP system from the inlet of the tank to the mainline in the street. If the project is required to add a clean out and modify our connection point, the owner will be required to cut and patch the asphalt area. If it is absolutely necessary can we install it at connection point of the new side sewer and the existing side sewer? 3. If bldg. has floor drains it needs to be intrinsically safe. RESPONSE: We have added a note on the site plan for this requirement. (See Special Sewer Notes) 4. Tank needs a 20 gpm pump. RESPONSE: We have added a note on the site plan for this requirement (See Special Sewer Notes) and also noted in on the simplex pump detail. If you find these responses acceptable we would ask that the attached plans be signed and contact me as soon as possible. The owner would like to pick up the plans /permit so they can schedule a preconstruction meeting and began the construction. Thanks for your time.
