8:00 a.m. Welcome — coffee & rolls
8:15 -11:00 a.m. Overview of 2004 goals — Department Heads will be in
attendance to discuss each goal and its status and to answer
any questions.
8:15 -8:30 — Update Yelm's Sign Code.
8:30 -8:45 — Seek Funding for the 510/507 Loop.
8:45 -9:00 — Short -Term Traffic Control — Develop short-term
traffic control at peak times, while the long -term solution (the
510 -507 Loop) is under development.
9:00-9:15 — Develop and Implement a Sustainable Plan for
Sidewalk Placement, Repair and Lighting.
9:15-9:30 — Economic Development — To assess the
economic development opportunities of the Yelm Industrial
Area to broaden and strengthen the City's employment base.
9:30 -9:45 — YRPL Development — To develop the Yelm -Roy
Prairie Line including establishment of an operator, connection
to Tacoma Rail and acquisition of rail to Lakeview.
9:45 -10:00 — Water Rights — To obtain additional water rights
in sufficient quantity that will support the City's expected growth
projections as per the Comprehensive Plan.
10-10:15— Community Outreach Program —
10:15 -11:00 General Goal Discussion (if needed)
11:00 -11:15 Break
11:15 -12:00 Review of the Mayor /City Council Protocol Manual (Please

FACILITATED RETREAT
FOR ELECTED OFFICIALS
The City Council has scheduled a special meeting for Saturday, February 14, 2004
from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Public Works Building, 901 Rhoton Road N.W.
The agenda topics will include reviewing the status and goals that were set for
2004 and a review of the Mayor and City Council Protocol Manual adopted
December 2002.
It is the City of Yelm's policy to provide reasonable accommodations for people
