AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY ADJACENT TO BURNETT ROAD IN THE CITY
OF YELM, WASHINGTON, DESIGNATING ZONING TO SAID ANNEXATION AND AMENDING THE
YELM COMPREHENSIVE PLAN ACCORDINGLY.
WHEREAS, the record owners of at least sixty percent of the value of the
property described below have petitioned for annexation to the City of Yelm.
WHEREAS, the City Council of Yelm has held a duly-noticed public hearing
regarding (ANX8081) and the Planning Commission has held a public hearing
regarding the zoning of such property.
WHEREAS, the Boundary Review Board has waived review of such annexation, and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that such annexation is in the best interest
of the City and conforms with annexation policies of the City as set forth in
the Comprehensive Plan and Yelm Municipal Code Chapter 2.66.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YELM DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The following described territory is hereby annexed and made a
part of the City of Yelm:
The SW 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of Section 13, Township 17N,
Range 1E, W.M.
Also known as parcel 3 of large lot subdivision No. LL-0466 as
recorded 21 March 1988, under Auditor's file No. 880321005 and as
amended 06 April 1988, under Auditor's File No. 880406022.
Section 2. Said property shall be subject to the existing indebtedness of
the City of Yelm and to pay said indebtedness shall be assessed and taxed at
the same rate and on the same basis as other property within the City of
Yelm.
Section 3. Said property shall be zoned as Residential Agricultural one-
five acre (RIA 1-5) consistent with the Yelm Comprehensive Plan.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall become effective on the 11 th day of
August , 1993 being a date not less than five days following publication.
Section 5. The City Clerk shall record a copy of this Ordinance in the
Office of the County Auditor and file a certified copy with the Board of
County Commissioners.

taxation), of the real property described on Exhibit A [legal

such terrltory be annexed to and made a part of the City of Yelm
under the provisions of RCW 35A 14 120, et seq , and any amendments

THE CITY OF YELM
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YELM SETTING
OF THE COUNCIL REGARDING A NOTICE OF
A PETITION TO ANNEX CERTAIN TERRITORY TO
WHEREAS, the Yelm City Council has receIved the attached notice of
intent to commence annexation proceedings,
WHEREAS, pursuant to the procedures establ ished by Revised Code of
Washington 35A 14 120 and Yelm Municipal Code Chapter 17 64, the City
Council has met with the initIating partIes,
WHEREAS, the Council has duly considered said request to initiate
annexation,
Now, Therefore, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YELM DOES RESOLVE, AS
FOLLOWS
Section 1 - Decision. That the CouncIl hereby ~c;ePt~ rejects /

I am pleased to inform you that Shanna Stevenson of Thurston
County Planning has confirmed that county records show that
your parcel at the end of Burnett Road is less than ten
acres (According to Shanna the county road takes a 30 ft.
by 88 ft bite out of this ten acre parcel ) Thus, the fee
for annexation of this parcel would be $250 plus a $50
environmental review fee, rather than the large annexation
fee of $1000
