Hands on CPR Awareness Demonstration, S.E. Thurston Fire Author
Erica Maginess, Volunteer EMT/Fire Fighter and Michael Fogarty,
gave a presentation on chest compressions. Erica stated that SE
arrive on the scene. First, you call 911, and then do chest comp
arrives. This will greatly increase the persons survival. Chest compression should
be given to the beat of the song . In Thurston County the save rate
is 59.6% which is excellent. Councilmember Foster and Mayor Hard

a. Purchase of Handheld Meter Reading Equipment
Ryan Johnstone, Public Works Director explained that the Water
to replace the existing handheld meter reading units due to age
support. Currently, the three handheld devices, their charging cradles, a

b. Ordinance No. 1013, Amending YMC 5.03 for Transportation Networ
Company Regulations
Grant Beck, Community Development Director stated the Cities of
Lacey and Tumwater have been working together to develop a commo
technology-based companies, which offer a new model
of commercial transportation service using online platforms to c
with drivers using personal vehicles, which include Uber and Lyf
drivers are regulated in the same manner as taxicabs, which requ

Council meeting it was reported that there has been a great turn

Recommendation
Authorize Mayor Harding to approve the purchase of one 2016 Ford
Yelm Sewer Utility in the amount of $23,077.50.
Background
On March 31, 2016, a Sewer Utility staff member was in an accide

Currently, the Sewer Utility has four vehicles: a 1993 GMC 1 Ton
Cherokee, a 2008 Ford F 150, and a 2009 Ford F 150. A replacemen

employees spend a large part of their time completing maintenanc
construction inspection, and fulfilling utility locate requests
Public Works typically purchases it's vehicles from the state ve
