JONES STREET (WASHINGTON COURT) WITHIN THE WEST END ADDITION.
WHEREAS, the City has initiated consideration of vacatioh'of a

WHEREAS, the Yelm City Council has held a duly-noticed public
hearing regarding such request;
WHEREAS, the Yelm Planning Commission has recommended and the
Council finds that such vacation would be in the public interest

WHEREAS, the Council has determined that it is in the public
interest to retain an easement for public and private utilities
along and over such former right-of-way.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YELM DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That an area ten-feet in width on each side of the
portion of Jones Street (otherwise known as Washington Court)
lying within the West End Addition, is hereby vacated reducing
said right-of-way to a width of forty feet, provided however that
no portion of the attached cul-de-sac is vacated hereby and that
the radius of said cul-de-sac shall remain fifty feet through its
circumference; provided, further, that the City does hereby
retain a utility easement below, upon, and above said property
including the right to exercise and grant easements for the
construction, repair, and maintenance of public and private
utilities and services to the full extent heretofore possessed by
the City.
Section 2. That title to said alley shall vest in the owners as
of this date of the abutting properties.
Section 3. That a copy of this Ordinance shall be recorded by the
City Clerk with the Auditor of Thurston County.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be effective on FPh_ In 1993,

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
WEST END ADDITION - PARTIAL STREET VACATION
The Yelm City Council will hold a public hearing at 7:30 p.m. on
Wednesday, December 9, 1992, to receive comments on a proposal to
vacate ten-feet along the full perimeter of Jones Street
(Washington Court) within the West End Addition to Yelm. The
proposed action would result in a right-of-way with a width of
forty-feet and a cul-de-sac with a diameter of eighty-feet.
The hearing will be held at Yelm City Hall, 105 Yelm Avenue W.,
Yelm, Washington. All interested parties are invited to attend.
Written comments should be directed to the Yelm City Council and
may be mailed to P.O. Box 479, Yelm, WA 98597 or delivered to
City Hall. Written comments must be received prior to the
hearing to be considered by the Council. The Council's decision
regarding vacation will be final. Additional information and a
map of the street to be subject to partial vacation may be
obtained by contacting Todd Stamm, City Planner, at Yelm City
Hall, 458-3244.
