Ladies and Gentlemen
In response to the notice of public hearing for the Rainier View Shopping Center
Rezone, the following concerns are submitted
1 Does the school district have liability for impact of road improvements
required for this proposal?
2 Will the business mix create any fumes, odors, or environmental issues
that could impact students in the school? A dry cleaners or a service
station could create an air quality issue without intent to initially interfere
with the school's operation, but it could create a risk after it was in
operation
3 Can the Commission provide any assurance to the schools that this
rezone will not financially or environmentally impact the operation of the
school, bussing, road requirements, and air/noise quality of the area
already occupied by the school?
Until these questions can be answered so they pose no impact on the district, Yelm
Community Schools cannot support the proposed rezone
Sincerely,
d5;::;r~ ;Jt7~
