Hi Gary,
Doug Rozof, our farrier, called us on Tuesday the 18th of October stating that he had mailed his statement
confirming his farrier services for horses on the Railway property between 1984 to 2000.
Please let me know if you didn't receive it; for Doug is more than willing to meet with you in person...
Based on previous correspondence between you and us regarding the non - conforming use of the property, we believe
that his statement has satisfied the documentation you have requested to ascertain that our Railway Rd property has
been in agricultural use, with no break in agricultural use over 18 months, since the property was annexed in 1995. That
would include agricultural use of raising cattle, horses, and hay (corn and pumpkins the past few years).
Please send us an acknowledgment that we have provided all documentation necessary to support our past and current
use of the property as in agricultural use since the annexation into the City, and thus we are not in a non - conforming use
of the property zoned R /6.
If that is problematic for you, we are more than willing to attend a SPR committee meeting to present our
documentation and discuss any concerns (Please remind me what the acronym "SPR" refers to, for I was unable to find
on your website in any planning or zoning document).
In addition to the above documentation, we would like to convey that we have not had any complaints from any neighbors
(Wood Field development) since we moved the cattle to the farm. In fact, the neighbors have been more than supportive.
They love the cows:) We even had a neighbor, who is an attorney, offer his services for free, to assist us regarding any
issues with continuing agricultural practices (e.g., raising cattle on the property).
Please inform us if we need to provide any additional information...
Thanks much
barb and jim

You said earlier that your Ferrier had some documentation. Have you sent that to me?

Thanks much John:)
We have provided aerial photography, photos, etc. to the City of Yelm that illustrates that we have maintained
agricultural activities at 16135 Railway Rd. following annexation in 1996. Your statement confirms and supports that
fact.
Thanks again:)

Hi John,
Please see e -mail string below. The City of Yelm staff is still requiring documentation of our agricultural activities
at 16135 Railway Rd. between 1998 and 2011. Could you provide a statement regarding the years that you have
hayed the field?
Thanks much:)

Jim and Barb,
We need to resolve this issue soon. You have had all summer, have you been able to document the use of your
property? Thanks

Thanks ... Still going through photos and scanning them of the past 15 years.
Are there specific years that you need documentation on? That would be helpful:)
Take care

Thanks Gary,
Our farrier will provide a notarized statement on the years he trimmed our horse's hooves, Tootser, as well as our dairy
cows' hooves at the farm, between 1995 and 2000. Affirming agricultural use following the annexation and rezone to
allow for the Woodfield development?
Also, do I need to get a notarized statement from John Scotto regarding putting up hay on the farm the last 10 years?
I do have photos that document livestock on the property following annexation? rezone? via the construction of houses
at Woodfield, and the high groundwater flooding of 1996 and 1997...
A clarification and documentation, of when exactly the farm property was annexed, and then re- zoned, would be
helpful to provide the information that you have requested:)
Thanks again...

Barb,
I looks like you have been gathering the data. However, you have not made your case yet. I need a detailed
documented time line to present to the SPR committee.

Thanks Gary,
John Scotto's phone number 458 -6521. He is the person that has hayed our field since 2000.
ParkWood Farm's Business UBI number is 602317597
Stewardship Partners Salmon Safe registration number for ParkWood Farms is Number 0189 (in addition to the
16135 Railway parcel, we own an additional 20.11 acres on 17040 Railway). Both parcels have been certified as
"Salmon Safe ".
City of Yelm Existing Conditions Report Draft, 2000 prepared by Tetra Tech /KCM, Inc. provides photo documentation
of livestock on the property (February 1996). Page 3 -12. The City should have a copy of this report. If you do not
have one, we can provide one for your records.
As stated, the property has been actively managed for agricultural production and use the past 19 years.
Specifically, disking /harrowing, and haying the field the past 11 years. From 1996 to 2000, we raised cattle and
horses on the property.
If there were issues, concerns, or questions, about the use (or non - conforming use) of the property over the past
decade plus, it is assumed that City would have been notified by concerned citizens, or in this case, a City of Yelm
Building Inspector.
Please let us know specifically what additional documentation, if any, the City needs to close this file.
Thanks much
