DECLARATION OF GARY
CARLSON
I declare as follows:
1. I am the Building Official for the City of Yelm.
2. That in the early part of 2011, I received a Complaint from an adjacent property to the
Park/Wood (hereinafter "Wood ") property regarding the possibility of cattle were going to be
placed on the Wood property.
3. The neighbor expressed concern as to the diminution of his property which he had
purchased because of the cattle.
4. It has been my experience that in my capacity as Building Official that some of the
negative attributes of non - domestic animals, such as cattle, are noise, smell, rodent and insect
infestation.
5. On April 5, 2011, I discovered cattle were indeed occupying the Wood property and on
same day I notified Park and Wood that their pasturing of cattle was in violation Chapter 17.15
of the Yelm Municipal Code, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit A.
