NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to Title 17 Zoning, Chapter 17.12 (R -4),
17.12.050 Lot Area C. 1. of the Yelm Municipal Code, Sections R105 Permits, R302
Fire - Resistant Construction, Table R302.1 of the International Residential Code (IRC)
that the shed roof style storage addition to the residence at 15131 Carter Loop, SE is in
violation of these codes.
ALLEGATIONS OF FACT
Grazyna Groldschmidt owns or controls real property within the City of Yelm,
identified by tax parcel number 52920002700, Associations: 99002022593
Olympic Sports Therapy & Rehabilitation located at 15131 Carter Loop SE.
2. That on or before October 1, 2010 Grazyna Grouldschmidt constructed, or
had constructed a shed roof style storage addition within the code required
side yard setback extending from her residence to the side property line. The
IRC requires issuance of a building permit for any addition pursuant to
Section R105 Permits.
3. On October 12, 2010, John Rowland, Building Inspector in charge of Code
Compliance for the City of Yelm, mailed a notice of violation to Grazyna
Groldschmidt stating and explaining the code violations listed above and
requesting that the addition be brought into compliance within 14 days of
receipt of the letter.
4. On November 2, 2010 at Grazyna Grouldschmidt's request I met with her at
her residence and explained that I had received a complaint about her
addition being in violation and that she would have to bring it into compliance
with the codes.
5. On January 4, 2011 a 2nd letter was sent to Grazyna Grouldschmidt after
receiving another complaint concerning her addition. This letter stated the
same code violations and requested the addition be brought into compliance
within 14 days of receipt of the letter of violation.

6. On January 20, 2011 1 received a letter from Grazyna Grouldschmidt stating
she felt singled out in these complaints and planned to address her concerns
at the next Home Owner's meeting.
7. On February 3, 2011 a 3rd letter was sent to Grazyna Grouldschmidt thanking
her for her letter of response, but again stating the violations and warning her
that failure to comply will result in further actions being taken by the City of
Yelm.
Allegations of Law
A. The above described real property is within the City of Yelm.
B. The above described addition is in violation of the Yelm Municipal Code, Title 17
Zoning, Chapter 17.12 (R -4), 17.12.050 Lot Area C.1
C. The above described addition is in violation of the International Residential Code,
Sections R105 Permits, R302 Fire - Resistant Construction, and Table R302.1.
D. The property owner failed to comply with letters of correction issued by John
Rowland, Building Inspector in charge of Code Compliance.
IT IS ORDERED THAT Grazyna Grouldschmidt or any other person acting as an
employee or agent shall remove, or otherwise bring the building addition that is in
violation located at 15131 Carter Loop SE; Yelm, WA; into compliance no later than
14 days after receipt of this letter.
Failure to comply with the terms of this notice of violation may result in further
actions by the City of Yelm, including, but not limited to the issuance of a citation by
the Yelm Police Department for a misdemeanor.
