Subject: Citizen Action Request
Dear Mr. Koepp:
This is a follow -up to our conversation on Monday, August 14, 2006 and our subsequent
telephone call during which I informed you that it has come to the attention of the Yelm
Community Development Department that the use of your property at 15343 107th Loop
may be in violation of provisions of the Yelm Municipal Code.
Thank you for taking the time to speak with me and about the complaint that you are
using the dwelling unit on your property as a construction office in Low Density
Residential zoning district. You indicated that you are not using the building as an office
and that you had an office on Dan Cook Road for your construction business. During
my site inspection, I did not observe any activity, including parking patterns, which
would indicate that the property was being used as a business. I further researched
State Business License's and found an expired business license for Koepp and Sons
Construction, Inc. located on Dan Cook Road. Based on this, I have found that there is
no violation and am closing my case file.
If in the future, you do wish to convert all or a portion of the home to your construction
office, please contact the Community Development Department for details on how to
accomplish such a conversion.
