J ;.J! .."". , . ~ Off INSTRUCTIONS CERTIFICATE OF WATER AVAilABiliTY CONNECTION TO A PUBLIC WA TERSYSTEM This form IS to be used to demonstrate that an approved water source is available pri6r to the issuance of building site approval or a building permit when the proposed structure(s) needs water The applicant must have the form completed by the owner or operator of the public water system and submit the form with the Building Site Applicat:on or Residential Site Plan Thurston County Environmental Health staff will evaluate the water supply records for the public water supply to assure that the water system has approved construction plans, proposed connection is WithIn the scope of the system approval, and the water system IS In compliance with water quality monitoring and other operational requirements The review process is as follows: STEP 1 STEP 2 STEP 3 STEP 4 STEP 5 Have the middle section of the form completed by the owner or operator of the public water system Submit the form with the Building Site Application (BSA) or Residential Site Plan (RSP) Environmental Health staff will review the water system records for the water system concurrentlv with the other reviews of the BSA or RSP You will be notified at the earliest possible time if records indicate problems With the water system and if the Certificate of Water Availability can not be issued You rnay want to discuss this issue with the water~ purveyor at the tIme you complete STEP 1 The water purveyor should know if the system is approved for further connections and is in compliance with operational requirements. Contact the public water system purveyor ImmedIately If you are notified of a problem Some problems may be resolved quickly to allow the issuance of permits (eg the system is late in submission of the latest water sample) while others may take more time (eg the water system does not have approval or capacity for more connections).
