Dear Mr. Eagan:
This letter is a follow up to the telephone conversation I had with your brother regarding
the condition of your property at 106 Yelm Avenue West.
Recognizing the character of the old business district of Yelm this area was zoned for a
mix of commercial, retail, service and multifamily uses. Your property has a history of
retail use.
The use of your property for outside sales of cars, RV's, estate sales and storage of
inoperable vehicles does not comply with Yelm Municipal Code, Chapter 17, zoning.
Please remove the vehicles from the site and stop the estate sales.
In our conversation, your brother said that Susanne Campbell is no longer a tenant of
yours. The City of Yelm will list her Business License application as inactive. It was
also brought up that you intended to open an Antique Shop. This type of use is
compatible with the zoning for the Central Business District as long as merchandise is
displayed on the inside of the business. If your plans include building or site
improvements please contact me for Building Permit or Development requirements.
