It has been brought to the attention of the Yelm Community Development Department
that the use of your property at 1023 Kingsview CT may be in violation of provisions of
the Yelm Municipal Code.
It has been reported that the dwelling unit on the property is specifically being used for
commercial food preparation and sales purposes in a residentially zoned district. It is
possible for the use to be allowed as a Home Occupation, but in order to make that
determination we require more information as to the nature of the business that is being
conducted.
The Community Development Department regularly conducts pre- submission meetings
with property owners wishing to develop their property in order to provide a complete
overview of the permit process and improvement standards for development proposals.
In addition, they are free of charge and are very useful in determining what can be done
with a piece of property. These meetings are held every Wednesday afternoon and a
meeting request needs to be submitted no later than the Wednesday prior to your
preferred date. I have attached a pre- submission request form for your convenience
and would recommend that you request a meeting as soon as possible, in order to
schedule the earliest pre- submission meeting available.
