The City of Yelm Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to
rec~ive comments on a site-plan proposal (SPR-8141) to remodel the
ex~sting building loc~ted at. 205 N. 1st Sireet.
The public hearing will be held on Monday, May 1, 1995, at 4:00 pm
in Yelm City Hall Council Chambers, located at Yelm City Hall, 105
Yelm Avenue W., Yelm, WA. All interested parti~s ~re invited t9
attend. Written comments should be directed to the Yelm PLanning
Commission and may be mailed to P.O. Box 479, ~elm, WA 98597 or
delivered to City Hall. Written comments 'must be rece'ived prior to

SUBJECT: SPR8141 - Site Plan Approval
On Monday, May 1, 1995, the Yelm City Planning Commission granted
approval, without conditions, the Site Plan application for the
remodel of your commercial/retail building located at 205 N. 1st
Stree.t, between puget Power and L & W Safe Storage.
As a separate action, the Planning Commission reviewed your request
to allow a health/exercise club in the Central Business District
(CBD.) The Planning Commission found that a health/exercise club
meets the criteria as a similar use and recommended to the City
Council it be incorporated into the CBD as an allowed use.
On Wednesday, May 10, 1995, the City Council approved the Planning
Commission's recommendation. A health/exercise club has been
incorporated into the CBD as an allowed use.
PLEASE RETAIN THIS LETTER IN YOUR FILES, IT CONSTITUTES APPROVAL OF
THE SITE PLAN.

RE: Use of Jayhawks Parking Lot
Following our discussion, I spoke with one of our store owner's
concerning your request to use our parking lot. I explained your
needs for additional parking due to the city changing your
zoning.
The discussion on our end is temporarily on hold until our second
owner returns from out of town. I do not know when she is
scheduled to return.
In the mean time, we suggest that you follow through on all other
options. Talk to the mayor, the city council, the variance
committee.
