Dear Ms Carlson.
Thank you for the opportumty to comment on the nutIgated deternunatIOn of nonsIgmficance to begm
operatIOn of a yeast dehydratmg plant that was constructed m 1990 (SEP A No 8193), located at 925 NP
Road Southeast as proposed by Fred FurgasonNelm Processmg Company We reViewed the
enVironmental checklIst and have the followmg comments.
Any operatIOn wruch would generate a waste dIscharge or have the potential to lIDpact the qUalIty of state
waters, must receIve specIfic pnor authonzatIOn from Ecology as proVIded under Chapter 90 48 RCW,
Chapter 173-216 WAC, Chapter 173-220 WAC, Chapter 173-200 WAC, and Chapter 173-20 lA WAC
Routme mspectIOn and mamtenance of all sedlIDent and eroSIOn control deVices IS recommended both
dunng and after development of the sIte
Dunng constructIOn, all releases of oils, hydraulIc flUIds, fuels, other petroleum products, pamts, solvents,
and other deletenous matenals must be contamed and removed m a manner that will prevent theIr dIscharge
to waters and soils of the state. The cleanup of spills should take precedence over other work on the SIte.
