Hello Karen,
Attached is the information for a shelter install at an existing bus stop in Yelm. Since this is not a part of the
construction project I picked up permits for earlier this week, there is no rush for review and authorization. Can you tell
me if there will be a permit fee and if so how much?
Just give me a call when it's ready.
Thank you.

Hi Cheryl,
I took a look at the area you show in your pictures. The sidewalk is 8 feet wide and we have no issues with the
installation of the shelter. Please complete a right of way permit application and submit to Karen Bennett in Community
Development with a site plan of the improvements. We will process ASAP.
Thanks

Hi Grant,
Intercity Transit is requesting the use of public right -of -way to install a shelter at its current bus stop location on Yelm
Ave at Killion.
Local residents particularly residents at the Rosemont have been requesting a shelter for weather protection and a
bench to rest on while waiting for the bus. Joe Baker suggested they contact Dennis Bloom here at Intercity Transit. The
conversation took place and Dennis agrees that the bus stop meets the minimum requirements for a shelter.
I am seeking confirmation that the sidewalk is 8' or wider as well as the City's permission to install a shelter towards the
back of it. I've attached a .pdf with photos for your reference.
I look forward to hearing back from you.

Good morning Cheryl. Attached please find the fee sheet for the ROW application for
installing a shelter at an existing bus stop westbound Yelm Ave and Killion.
As before payment is required for the process of review and issuance of the ROW
permit itself. You lucked outlast time that Ryan Johnstone, PW Director was in the
area to sign off on your ROW permit and we could issue it to you before you left. If
you would like you could mail me the check and I could get the process completed for
you and mail it back. Time is valuable...
Let me know what you think. Have a great Monday and the whole week will be
awesome!!!
