20160160 ROW Permit 04222016TMSID #476, Intercity Transit shelter install at existing bus stop located on westbound W Yelm Ave on the northwest corner at Killion Rd SE ms syk s Karen Bennett From: CArnett @intercitytransit.com Sent: Friday, April 22, 2016 4:17 PM To: Karen Bennett Cc: Grant Beck; Ryan Johnstone Subject: RE: Permission for shelter install Attachments: 20160422TMSID476ShelterRequestForPermit .pdf Hello Karen, Attached is the information for a shelter install at an existing bus stop in Yelm. Since this is not a part of the construction project I picked up permits for earlier this week, there is no rush for review and authorization. Can you tell me if there will be a permit fee and if so how much? Just give me a call when it's ready. Thank you. The sidewalk is 8 feet wide and we have no issues with the installation of the shelter. Please complete a right of way permit application and submit to Karen Bennett in Community Development with a site plan of the improvements. We will process ASAP. Thanks Rya n Ryan Johnstone, P.E. Local residents particularly residents at the Rosemont have been requesting a shelter for weather protection and a bench to rest on while waiting for the bus. Joe Baker suggested they contact Dennis Bloom here at Intercity Transit. The conversation took place and Dennis agrees that the bus stop meets the minimum requirements for a shelter. I am seeking confirmation that the sidewalk is 8' or wider as well as the City's permission to install a shelter towards the back of it. I've attached a .pdf with photos for your reference. I look forward to hearing back from you.
