.AN ORDINANCE relating to finance and setting the amount fixed as
Ad Valorem for'the regular levy of property tax necessary to raise
revenues for essential expenditures for the City of Yelm for the fiscal
year 2007, .
WHEREAS, the Citv Council of the Citv of Yelm met and considered its
budget for the calendar year 2007; and
WHEREAS, a duly advertised public hearing to consider the 2007 regular
property tax levy rate was held as part of the regular city council meeting on
Wednesday, November 14,2006;
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Yelm do ordain as
follows:

The Yelm City Council determined that the City'of Yelm
requires a regular levy in the amount of $998,398.30, which
includes an increase in property tax revenue from the previous
year, and amounts resulting from the addition of new
construction and improvements to property and any increase in
the value of state-assessed property, and amounts authorized
by law as a result of any annexations that have occurred and
refunds made, in order to discharge the expected expenses
and obligations of the district and in its best interest.
An increase. in the regular property tax levy is hereby
authorized for the 2007 levy in the amount of $8,791.89 which
is an increase of 1% from the previous year. This increase is .
exclusive of additional revenue resulting from new construction,
improvements to property, any increase in the value of state
assessed property, any annexations that have Occurred and
refunds made.
For the fiscal year beginning January 1 and ending December 31 .
of 2007, the Yelm City Council hereby levies the prior year's tax
'rate of $2.366988385214 per thousand dollars of assessed
valuation to new construction and added improvement values of
$49,889,618 as determined by the Thurston County Assessor,
yielding $118,088.15 in taxes for New Construction and added
Improvement Values.

State Assessed Utility Value changes have not been determined
at this time and are estimated at a one percent increase of
$102.44

A Certified' Budget request or estimate is filed with the County.
Legislative Authority, separate from this ordinance. As required by .
RCW 84.52.020, that filing certifies the total amount to be levied
by the regular property tax levy on the Department of Revenue
provided form for this purpose, REV 640100, "Levy
Certification". Certification is made in a manner prescribed by the
County Legislative Authority.
Effective Date: This ordinance shall become effective five days
following passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
Severability. If any section, subsection, paragraph, sentence,
clause, or phrase of this ordinance is declared unconstitutional
or invalid for any reason, such decision shall not affect the .
validity of the remaining portion of this ordinance.
