The Yelm Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to receive comments on the Yelm
Creek Comprehensive Fiood Hazard Management Pfan Draft Report. The Plan includes an
inventory and analysis of the Yelm Creek Watershed, identification of regulatory requirements,
identification of the problems, evaluation of alternatives, a discussion of possibie actions, both
regulatory and physical, and funding sources.
Testimony may be given at the hearing or through any written comments on the
proposal, and must be received by the close of the public hearing on June 18, 2001.
Such written comments may be submitted to the City of Yelm at the address shown
above or mailed to City of Yelm, PO Box 479, Yelm WA 98597.
The Draft Report is available for public review during normal business hours at the City of Yelm,

Threshold Determination: The City of Yelm as lead agency for this action has determined that this
proposal does not have a probable significant adverse impact on the
environment. Therefore, an environmental impact statement (EIS) will
not be required under RCW 43.21 C.030(2) (c). This decision was made
after review of a completed environmental checklist and other
information on file with the lead agency. This information is available to
the public on request.

A Comprehensive Flood Hazard Management Plan that identifies and
evaluates flooding problems in the Yelm Creek corridor and develops cost-

many months of work and review by the Yelm Creek Advisory Committee, the
City of Yelm, and interested parties.
Identified on the following page, are key dates and information pertaining to the
upcoming public hearing, and opportunities for comments.
The Yelm Creek Comprehensive Flood Hazard Management Plan draft includes
the Yelm Creek Flood Hazard Plan, references, photographs, and appendices, and
is available for review at Yelm City Hall, Yelm Timberland Library and Yelm
Public Works Department. Copies can be obtained by calling the City of Yelm,

The Yelm Creek Comprehensive Flood Hazard Management Plan draft includes
the Yelm Creek Flood Hazard Plan, references, photographs, and appendices, and
is available for review at Yelm City Hall, Yelm Timberland Library and Yelm
Public Works Department. Copies can be obtained by calling the City of Yelm,
