Mayor Foster called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
2. Roll Call Present: EJ Curry, Molly Carmody, Cody Colt, Tad Stillwell, Tracey
Wood, Joe DePinto and Terry Kaminski.
3. Agenda Approval
18-053 MOTION BY TRACEY WOOD TO APPROVE THE AGENDA AS PRESENTED.
SECONDED BY TAD STILLWELL. 7-0, MOTION CARRIED.

5. Public Comment -
Suzanne Hollar spoke about the Yelm Adult Senior Center Budget.
Abigail Haddock spoke about the Plastic Pause Fortnight program.
Connie Ihringer gave Council an update on the litter that she has been picking up
along the roads.
Ray Hanson stated people are speeding on the emergency vehicle only access
road between Cullens Road and Coates Road.

THE PROJECT TO AND SIGN THE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT WITH BOSS
CONSTRUCTION, INC. OF BELLINGHAM, WA IN THE AMOUNT OF
$535,774.69. SECONDED BY EJ CURRY. 6-0 (WOOD), MOTION CARRIED.
b. Confirmation of Planning Commission Appointments
18-056 MOTION BY MOLLY CARMODY CONFIRMING MAYOR FOSTER'S
APPOINTMENT OF ROBERT HOWARD, CARLOS PEREZ AND FLOYD
SHELDON TO FILL THREE VACATED POSITIONS ON THE CITY OF YELM

10. Department Updates by City Administrator Michael Grayum-
• City Newsletter will be out soon.
• Fencing has been installed at the Public Safety Building rear parking lot.
• Personnel: hired Eric Kolb as Custodian, HR Specialist interviews coming soon
and Seasonal positions have been advertised.
• Prairie Days events will be held at the Yelm Middle School and there's a new
parade route.
• Arbor Day is Friday, April 27th at 11:00 am at the Yelm Community Center.
11. Mayor and Council Initiatives
Councilmember Curry attended the Thurston County Solid Waste Advisory
Committee meeting, Yelm Public Safety Committee meeting, Yelm Finance
Committee meeting and a Water Tower Restoration meeting.
Councilmember Carmody attended the Intercity Transit Authority meeting,
Yelm Finance Committee meeting, and the Nisqually River Council meeting.
Councllmember Colt attended the Yelm Public Works Committee meeting.
Councilmember Stillwell attended the Yelm Public Safety Committee meeting
and reminded everyone of the Home & Garden Show this weekend.
Councllmember DePinto attended the South Thurston Economic Development
Initiative meeting and thanked Community Development Director Grant Beck for
the presentation he gave at that meeting.
Councilmember Kaminski attended Thurston Thrives Coordinating Council
meeting, Yelm Public Works Committee meeting and invited everyone to the Drive
507 Business After Hours event this Thursday at 5:07 pm, Yelm Community
Center hosted by Bounty for Families.
Mayor Foster attended the Together Program Conference, RMSA Board Member
meeting to interview Legal Counsel for AWC, STEDI meeting and stated Grant's
presentation was great, Nisqually River Council meeting, EDC Business Awards
presentation and stated the City supports the efforts of the Washington Kayak
Association and the clean up along the Nisqually River banks.
