1. Mayor Pro -Tem Wood called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
2. Roll Call Present: EJ Curry, Molly Carmody, Cody Colt, Tad Stillwell, and Terry
Kaminski. Joe DePinto attended via telephone the first part of the meeting and
arrived in person in time to give his Council report.
3. Agenda Approval
18-081 MOTION BY TAD STILLWELL TO APPROVE THE AGENDA AS PRESENTED.
SECONDED BY MOLLY CARMODY. 7-0, MOTION CARRIED.

Steven Slater, Vice -Chair of the SE Thurston Fire Authority spoke in favor of
collecting the impact fees.

a. Interlocal Agreement SE Thurston Fire Authority
18-083 MOTION BY TAD STILLWELL AUTHORIZING MAYOR PRO TEM WOOD TO
SIGN AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH SE THURSTON FIRE AUTHORITY
FOR THE COLLECTION AND DISTRIBUTION OF FIRE IMPACT FEES.
SECONDED BY EJ CURRY. 7-0, MOTION CARRIED.

10. Department Updates by City Administrator Michael Grayum-
• An After Action Review will be done for the Prairie Days Event and we are
preparing for the upcoming Seattle to Portland (STP) race.
• The City of Yelm has been approached by South Puget Sound Community
College (SPSCC) to partner in the future.
• There will be a Budget Amendment that will be brought to Council in July.

• There is a Youtube video that would be useful to the Council regarding Water
Rights.
• Paperless billing is now available for utility customers.
11. Mayor and Council Initiatives
Councilmember Curry attended the Flag Day Ceremony, Future Soldiers of
America Graduation Ceremony at the Moose Lodge, the Rotary Sponsorship at the
Triad Theater, No Excuses University, Yelm Finance Committee meeting,
Department of Revenue presentation on Business Licensing, Yelm Senior Center
meeting and the Yelm Public Safety Committee meeting.
Councilmember Carmody reminded everyone of the upcoming STP, represented
Yelm on a Citizen's Advisory Board for discussions for a new Thurston County
Government building.
Councilmember Colt attended the Open House meeting for the proposed parks
and the No Excuses University.
Councilmember Stillwell attended the Emergency Management Board meeting,
the Thurston County EDC Council Board meeting and the Emergency Management
Executive Seminar.
Councilmember DePinto attended A Boys and Girls Club meeting along with
Councilmember Stillwell.
Councilmember Kaminski attended the Thurston Thrives Coordinating Council,
the Prairie Days Parade and the Farmers Market.
Mayor Pro -Tem Wood attended the Thurston Regional Planning Council's
Transportation Policy Board meeting.
