ORDINANCE NO. 716
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF YELM, WASHINGTON, READOPTING
ORDINANCE NO. 671 PROVIDING FOR A CHANGE FROM A DAILY TO A FLAT
ADMINISTRATIVE FEE FOR VEHICLE STORAGE RESULTING FROM DRIVING
WITH SUSPENDED OR REVOKED LICENSE ACTIONS.
WHEREAS, on August 25`x' 1999, the City Council passed Ordinance No. 671 for the purposes of
changing a fee structure from a daily to a flat administrative charge, and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 671 was adopted in accordance with the provisions of State Statute,
and
WHEREAS, this change was adopted only after a study demonstrated that the change would
reduce the level of staff time required to manage the impound process, and this Ordinance was not
adopted in an attempt to avoid any requirement for voter approval of fee or tax increases.
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YELM, WASHINGTON, as
follows:
Section 1. Ordinance No. 671, a copy of which is attached hereto, is hereby readopted in its entirety.
Section 2. Severability. If any section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause, or phrase of this
ordinance is declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, such decision shall not
affect the validity of the remaining parts of this ordinance.
Section 3. Effective Date: This ordinance shall become effective on and after December 6, 2000
