696 Amend the 2000 Budget0 CITY OF YELM ORDINANCE NO. 696 AN ORDINANCE of the City of Yelm amending the 2000 Budget adopted by City of Yehn Ordinance No. 679, 12/8/99 and declaring an effective date. WHEREAS, filling the position of police chief from within the ranks of existing staff created a permanent envy-level patrol officer position; and WHEREAS, the replacement police chief will be attending special training from June 26 - September 8, 2000 requiring the police corporal to perform specific additional duties during that period; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCILOF THE CITY OF YELM DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. City of Yelm Budget Ordinance No. 696 is amended by approval of a $21,500 transfer from the Current Fund Capital Reserve Account (001 000 000 596 00 00 00) to the Yelm Police Department Salaries and Wages Account (001 000 521 10 10 00). Section 2. City of Yelm Budget Ordinance No. 696, Appendix II is amended by creating a new Patrol Officer position effective June 1, 2000 at a starting salary of $7_,310 per month. Section 3. City of Yelm Budget Ordinance No. 696, Appendix II is amended by temporarily increasing the salary of the Police Corporal by $100 per month for the months of July, August and September of 2000. Section 4. Effective Date: This ordinance shall be in full force five days after fhe date of publication according to state law.
