800 Increase Business License Fee and Renewal FeeCITY OF YELM
ORDINANCE NO. 800
AN ORDINANCE of the City of Yelm amending ORDINANCE 342 (1987),
Section 1, Chapter 5.04.015 by increasing the business license fee from
$30.00 to $35.00 and the renewal fee from $10.00 to $25.00 per year and
declaring an effective date.
WHEREAS, fees to process business license applications and annual license
renewals have increased since current fees were established in 1987.
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YELM, WASHINGTON
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
5.04.015 License Fees
a. Initial. The business licensing fee for any business or activity required
to be licensed shall be thirty five dollars ($35.00) for the
first year of operation, or fraction thereof, or for the first year or fraction thereof
under a new business license, whether issued for a new business or after a
change in business activity requiring re-licensing.
b. Renewals. The business licensing renewal fee for any business or
activity required to be licensed shall be twenty five dollars
($25.00) for the second year of such business activity, or fraction thereof, and
a like amount for each subsequent year or fraction thereof during the
continued operation o#~uch business.
