RESOLUTION NO. 471
A RESOLUTION AMENDING YELM PERSONNEL POLICIES, SECTION
6.03.020 B. ELIGIBLE DEPENDENTS MEDICAL, DENTAL AND VISION
INSURANCE BENEFITS
WHEREAS, the City Council has established that employees become
eligible for insurance benefits for themselves upon the date of hire, and
WHEREAS, eligible dependents insurance coverage is extended only
after the employee's successful completion of a 6 month probationary
period, and
WHEREAS, the City strives to recruit and employ skilled employees _who
may be reluctant to leave family members without coverage for any period
of time as condition of accepting employment,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL TO AMEND
THE PERSONNEL POLICIES SECTION 6.03.020 B. -ELIGIBLE DEPENDENT
INSURANCE COVERAGE TO BEGIN THE DATE OF THE EMPLOYEE'S HIRE.
Section
6.03.020 B. Upon the date of hire, the employee becomes eligible for insurance
