A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF YELM, WASHINGTON INCREASING THE
MEDICAL INSURANCE CAP FOR CITY OF YELM
EMPLOYEES.
WHEREAS, the City Council, in the best interest of the City, established a cap in Resolution 305,
(12/93) on the amount Yelm will pay for employee medical benefits including medical, dental and vision
coverage; and,
WHEREAS, City Council at the same time established and authorized creating an insurance pool and
combining and redistributing the full pool amount among employees to help reduce employee out of pocket
expenses; and
WHEREAS, City Council has periodically reviewed and revised the per employee rate:
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YELM DOES RESOLVE, AS
FOLLOWS:
The maximum employer contribution per employee for medical benefits is increased from
$309.00 per month (Res. 377, 12/98) to $325.00 per month beginning on January 1, 2000.
