318 Setting Fees For Micro Chips In Impounded Dogs' ~ CITY OF YELM
RESOLUTION NO. 318
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YELM,
WASHINGTON SETTING FEES FOR IMPLANTING IDENTIFYING MICRO
CHIPS PRIOR TO RELEASE OF IMPOUNDED DOGS.
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to aid in reuniting pets with
their owners as quickly as possible;
WHEREAS, early identification of dogs impounded by Yelm's
Animal Control Officer will reduce the costs to both the City and
the pet's owner; and
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Yelm does
hereby resolve as follows:
Section 1. The micro chip implant cost to the owner shall be
$10.00 per implant for all impounded dogs except certified service
dogs which shall be exempt from this fee.
