RESOLUTION NO. 305
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF YELM, WASHINGTON ESTABLISHING A MEDICAL
INSURANCE CAP FOR CITY OF YELM EMPLOYEES.
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is in the best interest of
the City to establish a cap on the amount Yelm will pay for
employee medical benefits which include medical, dental and vision
coverage; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to allow employees adequate time
to prepare for the possibility of sharing in the cost of the
employee medical benefits package.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YELM DOES RESOLVE,
AS FOLLOWS:
There is hereby established a pool, allowing a maximum employer
cost of $280.00 per employee for medical benefits. If city costs
exceed the maximum, the pool will be activated and insurance
benefit costs will be pro-rated among those employees exceeding the
maximum per employee cost.
