297 Ordinance Authorizing Publication Of Voters PamphletCITY OF YELM
RESOLUTION NO. 297
WHEREAS, the Washington State legislature has, by passage of
Chapter 29.81A RCW, empowered counties to adopt an ordinance
authorizing the publication of a local voters' pamphlet; and
WHEREAS, the Thurston County Commissioners have, by passage of
Ordinance #8150, authorized the Thurston County Auditor to produce
a local voters' pamphlet; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Yelm finds that
publication and distribution of a local voters' pamphlet will
enhance voter awareness and knowledge of local election issues;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Yelm, Thurston County, Washington as follows:
1. This district agrees to participate in the Thurston
County Local Voters' Pamphlet each November election until such
time as they notify the County Auditor, by resolution, that they no
longer wish to participate.
2. That the costs of producing and distributing the local
voters' pamphlet will be apportioned out to this district and all
other participation districts in accordance with RCW 29.13.045.
