PERSONNEL POLICY AMENDMENT - "PAYDAYS"
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YELM
AMENDING THE PERSONNEL POLICIES FOR THE CITY OF YELM BY
ESTABLISHING PAYDAYS FOR CITY EMPLOYEES AS THE LAST
WORKING DAY OF EACH MONTH.
WHEREAS, the City Council seeks to avoid creating hardships for its
employees; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is in the best interest of
the City to establish regular paydays in the City's Personnel
Policies; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to be supportive of its employees
needs.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YELM DOES RESOLVE,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.
That Section 4.3 shall be amended to state:
City employees are paid monthly on the last working day
of each month. The City will not issue paychecks early
except in emergency conditions. Requests for an early
paycheck must be made to the City Clerk via the
department head. The City Administrator will determine
if the reason for an employee's request for an early
paycheck is an appropriate emergency.
