RESOLUTION NUMBER 290
A RESOLUTION ADOPTING A RESPIRATOR PROGRAM FOR
NEGATIVE PRESSURE RESPIRATORS AS PART OF
YELM'S SAFETY PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the
Respirator Program for Negative Pressure Respirators;
and,
.WHEREAS, the City Council believes the adoption of
such a plan will protect the City and its employees; and,
WHEREAS, the Washington State Department of Labor
and Industries has established guidelines for the
selection and use of respirators including training,
fitting, cleaning, inspection and. maintenance,
surveillance, evaluation, record keeping, and
physiological and psychological limitations to protect
individuals from potentially hazardous substances; now
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
YELM, WASHINGTON, that the Mandatory Minimum Acceptable
Respirator Program be adopted as and become a part of the
Yelm,Safety Program.
