KILLION - CULLENS ROAD ANNEXATION AND ZONING
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YELM EXPRESSING
THE INTENT OF THE COUNCIL WITH RESPECT TO THE ANNEXATION PETITION
PRESENTED FOR PROPERTY BETWEEN KILLION AND CULLENS ROADS.
WHEREAS, Robert Henderson, Clifford McFall, and Joe Guizzette
have submitted a set of petitions to annex certain property lying
between Cullens Raad and Killion Road north of the Yelm city
limits,
WHEREAS, said petition includes the signatures of the record
owners of over 60% of the value of the described area,
WHEREAS, said property lies within the proposed urban growth area
of the City of Yelm, and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has held public hearings and
recommends that certain property be zoned as single-family
residential (R-1) as proposed by petitioners McFall and
Henderson, and that the remaining property should be zoned as
Residential Agriculture Five-Acre (RA-5).
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YELM DOES
RESOLVE, A5 FOLLOWS:
Section 1 It is the intent of the City of Yelm to annex that
property described as the NE} of the NE} of Section 24 and the E}
of the SE}, less the northerly 60 feet, of Section 13, Township
17 North, Range 1 East W.M., together with all adjacent public
rights-of-way including that public right-of-way known as Cullens
Road to its northerly terminus.
Section 2. That the Thurston County Boundary Review Board shall
be notifed of said intent. Upon receipt of approval of the Board
it is the intent of the Council to adopt an ordinance implement-
ing the above express intent and to zone the SE} of the NE} of
the NE} of Section 24 as Single-Family Residential (R-1), and the
remainder of the annexation area as Residential Agriculture 5-
acre (RA-5).
Section 3. That the Yelm Comprehensive Plan Map shall be amended
to designate the first listed parcels as single family
residential.
