RESOLUTION NO. 261
NEIGHBORHOOD ADDRESSING FEES
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YELM AMENDING
RESOLUTION NO. 238, ESTABLISHING A FEE FOR OBTAINING AND
PREPARING LISTS OF PROPERTY OWNERS OF RECORD IN THE VICINITY OF
PROPOSED DEVELOPMENTS.
WHEREAS. The City of Yelm has received and continues to receive
requests to use City resources to prepare lists of property
owners within the vicinity of proposed developments and required
by law of applicants for city permits and approvals; and
WHEREAS, preparation of such lists is ordinarily the duty of the
proponent of such development; and
WHEREAS, the City does have the capability of efficiently
preparing such lists without undue burden on City staff and with
a reduction in burden on the staff of the County assessor's
office.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YELM DOES
RESOLVE, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1
That Resolution No. 238 and the Yelm Development Fees Schedule
shall be amended to provide that at the applicant's option the
City will prepare any required list of neighboring property
owners for an additional fee of fifty dollars ($50), to be
payable in advance; provided further that iP such list should be
exceed 50 record owners, an additional fee of one dollar ($1) per
additional record owner.
Section 2.
That no request to prepare a neighboring property owner list
shall be accepted or honored unless the applicant signs a release
of all liability accruing to the City for any errors or omissions
relative to preparation of such list.
Section 3.
This resolution shall be effective immediately upon publication
in a newspaper of record
