SLOPAK ANNEXATION AND ZONING
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YELM EXPRESSING
THE INTENT OF THE COUNCIL WITH RESPECT TO THE ANNEXATION PETITION
PRESENTED FOR PROPERTY ADJACENT TO HIGHWAY 507.
WHEREAS, James Slopak and Dan Isaacson have submitted a petition
to annex certain property lying between Highway 507 and the
Burlington Northern Railroad,
WHEREAS, said petition includes the signatures of the record
owners of more than 6096 of the value of the described area, and
WHEREAS, said property lies within the interim urban growth area
of the City of Yelm and annexation will result in more efficient
boundaries of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YELM DOES
RESOLVE, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 It is the intent of the City of Yelm to annex that
property lying southwesterly of Lot 8 of Block 2 of the
McKenzie's Second Addition to the City of Ye lm between right-of-
way of State Highway 507 and the right-of-way of the Burlington
Northern Raiload to the intersection thereof, together with the
adjacent state highway right-of-way; and upon annexation to zone
said property as Commercial (C-1).
Section 2. That the Thurston County Boundary Review Board shall
be notifed of said intent. Upon receipt of approval of the Board
it is the intent of the Council to adopt an ordinance implement-
ing the above express intent.
