CITY PLANNER DUTIES
A RESULUI'lON OF THE YELM CITY COUNCIL ESTABLISf{ING THE
DUTIES AND ORGANI'LA7'IONAL PLACEMENT OF THE CITY PLANNER.
WHEREAS, the Yelm City Council recognlzea that current needs require
the services of a city planner, NOW THEREFORE,
BE 1'I HEREBY RESOLVED, BY 'flit: CITY COUNCIL OF YELM, WASHINGTON, AS
FULLUWS:
That a City Planner position is hereby established within the City of
Yelm,
That the City Planner shall be selected by, report to and be subject
to the supervision of the City Administrator,
'Chat the City Planner shall l,e the Director of the Department of
Community Development,
That the City Planner shall serve as the environmental review officer
of the City and shall bear all duties. power and responsibilities of
the "responsible official" for purposes of the State Environmental
Policy Act and as defined at WAC 19T-11-788;
'Chat the City Planner shall serve as staff to the Yelm Planning
Commission;
That the City Planner shall administer Title 16, "Subdivisions," of
the Yelm City Code, and solely for purposes of administration of Title
16 the City Planner shall be deemed to be the City Engineer;
That the City Planner shall administer and enforce Title 17, "Zoning",
of the Yelm City Code, and
That the City Planner shall perform such other duties as are
appropriate as mutually agreed by the Mayor, City Administrator and
City Planner.
